2020 Distinguished IP Professional, The Honorable Kathleen O'Malley

The Distinguished IP Professional Award is given to an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in the intellectual property community, and a lifetime commitment to invention and innovation. Throughout her career, Judge O’Malley has presided over more than 100 patent and trademark cases, has been an active speaker, and as an educator, Judge O’Malley has regularly taught about patent litigation and the handling of intellectual property cases by Federal Judges. “Judge O’Malley demonstrates extraordinary leadership and commitment to the intellectual property community. I am delighted that the Board of Directors has selected her for the award. She serves as a role model for many.” said Jessica Landacre, IPO Executive Director.

Judge O’Malley was honored during the 20th Anniversary and Awards Celebration December 8-10.
